shuffleboard-bars-in-belfast

We pucked around and found 4 great shuffleboard bars in Belfast!

Hanging out with my foodie friends is always a blast. But when every meetup is about food, everything eventually feels so repetitive.

Whenever we think of new ideas, someone always suggests ziplining, hiking, bungee jumping, or camping. Those things are fun, yes, but they’re just too much for me. I do crave excitement (just not ones that involve signing a waiver).

We eventually found a middle ground, and we found the best shuffleboard bars in Belfast. With snacks, booze, and games, our top picks below are a win-win for all!

1. The Woodworkers

Website: https://www.woodworkersbelfast.com/

Address: 20-22 Bradbury Pl

Contact Details: +44 28 9087 1106, [email protected]

Operating Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday – 12 PM to 12:30 AM
  • Friday to Saturday – 12 PM to 1:30 AM
  • Sunday – 1 PM to 12:30 AM

Pricing: £10 to £20 per person

Want to paint the town red tonight? We say go big or go home! The Woodworkers has a 12-foot Grand Champion shuffleboard and board games that look perfect for you and your crew. It costs £10 per hour per booking, which can take up to 8 players.

As for the grub, we find the rotating craft beers incredible—it goes up to 26 taps! We like the hearty portions too, such as the Scooby Snack burger and Steak and Guinness Pie.

Vegan options, such as chilli and a Sloppy Joe burger, are also available.

We also like the rustic vibe of this tavern. The solid, well-oiled wood furniture provides a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it attractive for longer stays.

Pro tips:

We suggest booking The Woodworkers’ shuffleboard early—the pub doesn’t accept same-day bookings, so you’ll need to plan ahead (especially if you want to secure a ‘nook area’ for a bigger crew).

2. The Stock Exchange at Haymarket Belfast

Website: http://www.haymarketbelfast.com/

Address: 84 Royal Ave, Floor 0, CastleCourt Shopping Centre

Contact Details: +44 28 9692 3061, [email protected]

Operating Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday – 12 PM to 11 PM
  • Friday – 12 PM to 1 AM
  • Saturday – 10 AM to 1 AM
  • Sunday – 1 PM to 11 PM

Pricing: £30 to £40 per person

The Stock Exchange at Haymarket Belfast offers shuffleboard and interactive darts in a colourful space with a ‘techie’, digital theme. Another fun feature for us is the stock-market bar where drink costs actually ‘crash’ or drop—pretty immersive, we say.

If you’d like casual bites for the night, we bet you’ll enjoy the street food and bottomless brunch. You might also like the handcrafted cocktails, like Bee’s Wax (honeycomb vodka) and Murphy’s Bramble (pink strawberry gin), for something refreshing.

But before you visit, do note that this cocktail bar takes card payments only.

Cool idea:

Why not hang out in The Courtyard (15 minutes by car) after playing at The Stock Exchange at Haymarket Belfast? You can add this to your bar-hopping list and make the most of your time with more food, drinks, and live music all night.

3. Lavery’s

Website: https://laverys.com/

Address: 12-18 Bradbury Pl

Contact Details: +44 28 9087 1106, [email protected]

Operating Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday – 12 PM to 12 AM
  • Friday to Saturday – 12 PM to 1 AM
  • Sunday – 1 PM to 12 AM

Pricing: £17 to £22 per person

Think big with Lavery’s pool halls—it’s among Northern Ireland’s largest, with 22 pool tables and a 12-foot shuffleboard table in Belfast. We were in awe of its elegance, with its historic gin-palace feel and vintage decor.

You can enjoy the live sports bar screenings with tasty items, like burgers, lattice fries, and Frank’s chicken wings (vegan option), as well as sharing platters. You can also pour your own Guinness at The Public Bar (the oldest original pub here)!

Just remember to reach out to the staff before you visit. This way, you can book proper seats. They don’t take same-day bookings too, by the way.

For the comedy fans:

We encourage going to Lavery’s midweek for comedy nights, including DJs and live music, to brighten up your mood—even if it’s not Friday yet! Just be sure to check its website or social media pages for upcoming events.

3. Happys Belfast

Address: 149 Lisburn Rd

Operating Hours:

  • Monday to Sunday – 12 PM to 1 AM

Pricing: £10 to £20 per person

Wish you could go back to the old days with a retro aesthetic? It’s like that at Happys Belfast with its playful dive bar atmosphere. Besides the shuffleboard, you can play ping pong and other vintage-style entertainment.

From the menu, we say go for the LA-style smash burgers, fries, chips and queso (cheese), and Buffalo chicken wings first. There are various toppings to try too! Our favourite is the chipotle (smoked hot chilli pepper) mayo for a bit of a kick.

We appreciate that this spot is open daily until 1 am, making it among Belfast’s top spontaneous late-night destinations any day of the week.

Insider scoop:

Don’t miss out on Happys Belfast’s quiz nights! If you visit on a Sunday at 8 pm, you can join a trivia night—it only costs around £2 to play!
